Chrysler's world-class designers develop fresh, bold, trend-setting exterior designs. Every car has its beginnings with an inspiration that becomes a sketch. Designers create sketches using both manual and electronic techniques. Groups of sketches are created along thematic lines and the most promising ideas are selected with the guidance of Design Management.

Further refinement and development are achieved using state-of-the-art computer rendering tools. Design ideas mature through frequent interaction and feedback from Management, Engineering platform teams and Marketing. As the theme solidifies and the design progresses, the finished vehicle takes shape. The designer develops more detailed renderings in multiple views to better illustrate what the vehicle will look like in 3 dimensions. Final design themes are then developed into scale and full size clay models.
