Studio engineers face the challenge of finding the balance between product design and feasible engineering/manufacturing alternatives. This balance is accomplished through creative problem solving, the application of appropriate technology and close coordination with the Engineering Team.

The scope of responsibility includes defining basic vehicle architecture and developing theme specific feasibility so that engineering criteria are understood early in the design phase. This process involves benchmarking, component packaging, creating key construction sections and engineering studies coordinated with platform engineers and suppliers. The engineer employs CATIA and other computer tools to assimilate program objectives into digital bogey models and summary documents that serve as the central coordinating mechanism for the design phase of the program.
