Electronic Stability Program[1] (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer) and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

- Blind Spot Monitoring System and Cross Path Detection

Chrysler is always looking for new ways to help keep you safe with the Town & Country. The 2009 model is no different. New for 2009 is the Blind Spot Monitoring System[2] and Cross Path Detection[2]. Sensors mounted on either side of the vehicle sense when a vehicle is in either blind spot. Visual indicators on both exterior mirrors help alert the driver that a vehicle has entered the blind spot and what side it's on.
- Security Alarm

Town & Country’s available security alarm system helps secure the vehicle. The system monitors both the door- and liftgate-ajar switches as well as the ignition circuit for unauthorized entry.
The lights flash and the horn sounds, alerting you if someone else is trying to enter your vehicle. Plus, the Sentry Key® Theft Deterrent System shuts down the engine if the specially coded key isn’t used in trying to start the vehicle.
- Electronic Vehicle Information Center

Town & Country's available Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) system provides you with all over your vehicle's pertinent information at a glance.
This includes information such as tire pressure, miles until empty, average mile per gallon and many more programmable functions.
- Integrated Turn Signal in Mirror

Town & Country's available integrated turn signal displays right on the driver or passenger mirror, alerting everyone behind you that you're turning.
- SmartBeam™ and HID Headlamps

Town & Country reacts before you do with available SmartBeam™ Intelligent headlamps.
The Headlamps automatically dim when it senses a vehicle, making sure you never have to do a thing. Available High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Headlamps actually burn brighter, last longer.
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System

A system that constantly monitors pressure, the standard Tire Pressure Warning Lamp alerts the driver if one of the tires falls below the recommended pressure.
The available premium Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) actually shows the amount of each tire's pressure the Electronic Vehicle Information Center, always keeping you informed.
