The Motor City Thrives Under the Hood.
Power, efficiency and control all add up in the Chrysler SRT8®. The new 6.4L HEMI® V8 delivers 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque — providing awe-inspiring standing starts and improved straight-line performance while new, performance-tuned motor mounts improve idle stability and ride control. While HEMI Fuel Saver technology optimizes fuel efficiency. This is performance designed to exceed expectations and leave all compromise in the dust.
Real Performance. Real-Time Feedback.
The superb performance of the SRT8 is undeniable — which means the only variable is the driver. And with our exclusive full-color graphic EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center), you can now keep track of how your SRT8 is performing while you drive. The new 8.4-inch instrument panel touchscreen tracks your 0-60, one-eighth mile and quarter-mile times, your 60-0 braking distance, and your g-force distribution — then houses them on Performance Pages available at your fingertips. This is performance on display.
Get up to 60 MPH. Asap.
The 2012 Chrysler 300 says you've arrived. With the 6.4L HEMI V8 engine getting 0-60 times+ like these, it says you've arrived quickly.
Serious Performance Requires Serious
Stopping power.
The world-class stopping power of the SRT8 features vented rotors with four-piston, silver-finished Brembo calipers. With a newly designed underbody belly pan and integrated brake ducting, brake cooling and fade performance have been vastly improved. And the Ready Alert Braking system can anticipate emergency braking situations and engage a stability control pump to decrease the time required for a full stop. The SRT8 doesn't just go fast. It stops on a dime.
When Rubber Meets Road, Our Technology
Helps Keep Them Together.
In this city, we know how to work hard. But we also know how to work smart. And it shows in the all-wheel-drive system of the Chrysler 300C — which automatically detects road conditions to determine whether to employ all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The active transfer case and front axle disconnect work together to provide an on-demand transition between the two, delivering first-class performance and handling. The all-wheel-drive system, the most advanced in its class+, also works in tandem with a host of standard control offerings like ABS, Electronic Stability Control+ (ESC), Traction Control, Brake Assist, Ready Alert Braking, Hill Start Assist, and Rain Brake Support — which applies slight pressure and dries the brake discs as soon as wipers are activated.
We Took the Hard Road to Make a Car That can Handle One.
With multi-link suspension, the Chrysler 300 delivers a luxurious driving experience no matter what type of road conditions you're driving over. Front suspension hydrobushings — combined with shock absorbers, spring rates and front and rear multi-link suspension geometries — help to reduce road harshness and produce superior handling and ride comfort.
