What is a VIN?
The VIN (vehicle identification number) is a unique 17-digit number that identifies your vehicle and provides access to valuable information about its history. All cars and light trucks built after 1981 have a VIN.

Where is the VIN located?
The VIN can be found on dashboards, driver-side door jamb stickers, title documents, vehicle registration, and insurance documents.
