Pick up the pace with one of PT Cruiser's three 2.4-liter engines: the standard 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve SMPI featuring 150 horsepower at 5,100 rpm, Limited’s available 2.4-liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve turbo engine that delivers 180 horsepower at 5,100 rpm or PT Cruiser GT’s standard high-output 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve HO turbo engine that cranks out 230 horsepower at 5,100 rpm.
The PT Cruiser experience includes a reassuring sense of protection. That’s because we’ve included some of the most up-to-date safety features like advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags.† The available supplemental side air bags‡ (standard on PT Cruiser Limited and GT) offer additional protection for driver and front passenger in the event of a collision.
For added braking security in slippery conditions, front disc/rear drum antilock brakes are available on PT Cruiser, Touring and Limited, while four-wheel-disc performance antilock brakes with low-speed traction control are available on PT Cruiser Limited, and standard on PT Cruiser GT.
All PT Cruisers have a center console with cupholders, a driver’s seatback pocket, and map pockets in all four doors. Plus a coin holder, letter tray, D-rings to accommodate tie-downs. Everything has a place. In fact, you can store stuff all over. PT Cruiser also features a rear quarter-panel storage compartment and handy D-ring tie-downs in the cargo area.
