CHARGING
Charging your Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is easy. Simply plug the charger cord in to the vehicle's power outlet. It comes with a Level 1 120-volt AC charging cord set, which requires a conventional 120-volt AC grounded wall receptacle along with the portable charging cord set.
You will find the charging cord set by opening the cargo area storage bin on the driver side. Inside the bin, you’ll find the charging cord in a storage bag. Keep in mind, that this cord set is for Level 1 charging only.
Before you begin charging, it’s important to ensure that your vehicle is turned off and in park. Once you begin, plug the AC plug of the charging set into the grounded wall receptacle. Then, take the charge connector and place it in the vehicle’s charge inlet. A “click” will be heard when inserted correctly, and the charge active indicator lights will cycle from left to right. Once your vehicle is fully charged, the lights in the charge indicator will show all five bars. You’re now ready to go.
The Level 1 120-volt charger can be fully recharged in approximately 14 hours.
You can shorten the time and charge your Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid in as little as 2 hours by using an available Level 2 240-volt charger.
However, the estimated charging times are based on a completely discharged high-voltage battery. Charging times will vary based on various factors including the age, condition, state of charge, available current being provided to the charger from its energy source and temperature of the high-voltage battery.
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid comes equipped with a Level 1 charger, so you don’t have to purchase one. But if you’re looking for a faster charge time, you can purchase a Level 2 240-volt charger when you visit Mopar.com or your local Chrysler Brand dealership.
You can schedule installation for a level 2 home charging station on Qmerit's website. This requires purchase and professional installation. Contact your local Chrysler Brand dealership for details. Get started by answering a few simple questions to get pricing options. Then simply use the Qmerit app to provide some details about your home and a customer representative will contact you to schedule installation at your convenience.
Qmerit certified installers are licensed, insured and rigorously screened so they continue to meet our standards—and yours. And as a customer service leader, you’re always in good hands with Qmerit. If your EV charger ever needs servicing, Qmerit is there to help.
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is equipped with the Level 1 charger. And when you’re on the go and need a little extra charge, the Uconnect® system can help you find charging stations wherever you are. The regenerative braking feature also helps to charge while driving. One more cool tool that comes with your Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, is the Hybrid Coaching tool, which is there to help you drive as efficiently as you can in order to minimize charging frequency.
Yes, the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid can be charged at a public charging station. These stations have Level 2 240-volt chargers and take around 2 hours to fully charge the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid with a completely discharged battery. The amount of charge in your battery will be displayed via both in the vehicle’s Digital Cluster Display and a light-up indicator above the instrument panel.
You can find charging stations in your Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid by going to the navigation tab of the touchscreen on the Uconnect® 5 and searching for charging stations. You can also use the Chrysler app to figure out charging station availability and map the quickest route to your next available charging station.
The portable charging cord is found in the cargo area storage bin—on the driver side—inside the storage bag. This cable can be used with any common household power outlet but takes considerably longer to charge your battery to 100% than Level 2 home charging stations.
The Digital Cluster Display in the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid includes a battery indicator similar to that which you might see on a smartphone, depicting a battery with a percentage next to it. The percentage on your dashboard display is how much charge you have left, and when it’s at 100%, you’re fully charged. The vehicle also includes a State of Charge Indicator made up of five lights at the top of the instrument panel. When your charger is plugged in, the lights indicate your charging status, or if there’s a system error. All five lights fully illuminated means your vehicle is fully charged.
Yes, the charging cord can get wet. It is designed for indoor and outdoor use and in all weather conditions, so that you never find yourself unable to charge your vehicle due to inclement weather. When you’re finished with the cable, just dry it off and carefully store it so it’s not exposed to wet conditions for too long a period of time.

WHY CHRYSLER PACIFICA PLUG-IN HYBRID?
Outside of being America’s first and only Plug-in Hybrid minivan, the Chrysler Pacifica offers many features that are designed to make family life a whole lot easier. When it comes to safety, the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid offers more standard safety features than any vehicle in its class. With the Easy-Tilt Second-Row Seat, families can easily access the third row—even with a rear-facing child seat in the second row. With up to 81 different seating configurations, the Chrysler Pacifica lets you remove the second-row seats or tumble forward and stow the third row into the floor for even more room. Keep the kids entertained with an available advanced seven-passenger entertainment system featuring available Amazon Fire TV built-in with dual touchscreens. Also enjoy the large 10.1-inch Uconnect® touchscreen. Depending on model and feature; these are just a few of the advantages that the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid may have over the competition.
While we think both vehicles offer outstanding performance, one important advantage of the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is the ability to drive on an all-electric charge, so you’ll spend less time at the pump and more time going about your day. And don’t worry, you won’t lose out on other features by choosing the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid. Both the Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid are equipped with many of the same amenities—with conveniences like amazing cargo space, including third-row Stow ’n Go®, seating for seven and many standard innovative safety and security features. Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection are just a few examples. In our opinion, you can't go wrong by picking either of these vehicles.
You should consider getting a Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid because it’s one of the most innovative vehicles out there. But also, as America’s first and only Plug-in Hybrid minivan, the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid offers great fuel economy. With a pure electric range of 32 miles, 82 MPGe and a total driving range of 520 miles, you can go pretty far in this minivan. Once the electric charge is fully consumed, the vehicle seamlessly transitions to using solely gas, so you never have to worry about being stranded. Available on all models including Pinnacle, the exceptional and efficient hybrid powertrain delivers a pure electric range for local driving and gas range for extended excursions, so you have the freedom to go wherever you want–near or far.
Yes, the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is road trip ready at a moment’s notice. Not only does the plug-in hybrid powertrain offer drivers fewer stops at the pump by supplementing the gas engine with electricity, but the vehicle also features third-row Stow ‘n Go® seating that allows for customizable cargo space in the rear of the vehicle. That means more family travel without stopping and more room for all of the necessities that make a big trip that much more enjoyable.
The 2026 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid has an estimated total range of up to 520 miles, making it ready to go anywhere you want with all your family. The vehicle also features a 32-mile all-electric driving range, not to mention an 82-mile MPGe (Miles Per Gallon equivalent) rating, so that even a full battery alone can get you to most of the places you need to go.
PERFORMANCE
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid has an all-electric range of 32 miles. And when it’s fully charged and has a full tank of fuel, the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid will deliver a total driving range of up to 520 miles. You'll go far in the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, no matter which path you take to get there.
The top speed of the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid in all-electric mode is approximately 80 mph and approximately 106 mph when driving with gasoline-powered propulsion. The vehicle possesses a hybrid system net power output of 260 maximum horsepower, offering ample performance for both everyday commutes and family road trips.
There isn’t an option to select driver modes because the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid constantly monitors various factors like terrain and temperature to ensure it is always in the most efficient mode. This helps to make every trip seamless and easy for not just one but every type of driver.
One way to maximize your range during the winter season is to keep your vehicle fully charged when possible, so that you’re never beginning a winter journey with depleted power. In order to maximize the battery charge, consider gradual accelerations when possible. When doing so, you will be able to help keep more miles driven in electric mode.
The electric range varies because different temperatures affect the batteries in unique ways. In cold weather, the battery needs more energy for the heating systems and also in hot weather due to heavier load on the air conditioning system. Also, the batteries are often less efficient at low or high temperatures.
The difference between driving in Low (L) and Drive (D) is that driving in Low will increase the rate of deceleration along with increasing regeneration of power into the vehicle's high-voltage battery. Drive is for everyday conditions that don’t require the driver to divert extra attention and power towards the current state of the vehicle’s battery.
This is known as Miles Per Gallon Equivalent (MPGe), which is a measurement of your vehicle’s fuel efficiency. MPGe compares the amount of energy a gas-powered vehicle needs to travel one mile with the amount of energy it takes an electric vehicle to travel the same distance. The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is rated at an incredible 82 MPGe.
CAPABILITY
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid utilizes two electric drive motors, a planetary gear set and a one-way clutch internal to its transmission. Each electric drive motor has a primary function. One motor is used for charging the high-voltage battery and starting the gas engine while the other is used solely for electric drive operation. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is unique in that given the one-way clutch, the charging/starting motor can also be used in dual motor electric drive. This additional functionality maximizes efficiency and also allows for optimum all-electric drive vehicle speed. The V6 engine is seamlessly integrated into the powertrain and contributes toward high-voltage battery charging or vehicle propulsion automatically based on driving conditions. Both motors are constantly working to best integrate electric power versus gas (until charge is depleted) or vice versa. The system is consistently monitoring to provide you with maximum fuel efficiency.
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is equipped with a standard Audible Pedestrian Warning System, which uses distinct sounds to alert pedestrians that your vehicle is approaching. The sounds are made from an in-car sound synthesizer with a speaker located in the underhood compartment. The warning system is automatically activated when the vehicle is in Reverse, Neutral, Drive or Low.
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid does not have seating for eight. The vehicle can seat up to seven passengers (including the driver), making it excellent for road trips and carpooling.
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid automatically switches between electric and gas when the vehicle uses up its electric battery. The Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid uses its electric battery power first. When the battery is depleted, the power source switch occurs, and the vehicle runs on gas. That means that for short trips and commutes, you can go without using any gas!
While the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is loaded with great features and incredible everyday capability, it should not be used for towing, and as such it has no official tow rating. However, the Chrysler Pacifica gas model is built with the ability to tow up to 3,600 pounds.
In the case of the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, Stow ‘n Go® is included for the third-row seats, but not available for the second row of seats. You can fold and tumble the second-row seats forward for more room or remove them all together for maximum room. But no matter what, you can rest assured that the vehicle’s cargo space is ample, versatile and ideal for everything you want to take with you on every adventure.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid requires unleaded regular gasoline having a posted octane number of 87. The use of higher-octane premium gasoline is not a requirement for the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid. Drivers should be careful not use E85 fuel or other ethanol blends greater than 15% in this engine.
The expected life of the lithium-ion battery is the life of the vehicle. The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid also comes with a 10-Year/150,000-Mile Limited Battery Warranty or an 8-Year/100,000-Mile Limited Battery Warranty, depending on where you bought the vehicle and the state you live in.
Don’t worry, your vehicle will help by reminding you. The Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid is equipped with an automatic oil change indicator system. The oil change indicator system will remind you that it is time to take your vehicle in for scheduled maintenance. You can take the vehicle to any FCA US LLC franchised dealership in your area. Now that’s some smart engineering on our part. Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km), 12 months or 350 hours of engine run time, whichever comes first.
Let’s just say it helps make your vehicle more efficient. Since it is possible for the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid to operate for extended periods of time without running the gas engine, this mode helps minimize the potential for stale fuel and helps ensure proper lubrication of internal engine components. The vehicle will automatically enter this mode and will exit when conditions have been satisfied. When operating in this mode, the gas engine will run to provide vehicle propulsion. Additionally, a message will appear on the Digital Cluster Display when this mode is activated.
There are a number of limited warranties for the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid. The lithium-ion battery is covered under a 10-Year/150,000-Mile Limited Warranty or an 8-Year/100,000-Mile Limited Warranty, depending on the state you bought your vehicle and live in. Additionally, you get the FCA US LLC 5-Year/60,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty.
